Restriction Can Be Freedom

This film was filmed almost entirely in a telephone box, exploring how the body moves within a small restricted space and how it adapts to move freely within it. The film shows how when the dancer is within the phone box she is completely oblivious to everything around her, completely captivated and intrigued by the space. As the concept was to explore the how the body adapts the movement was purely improvisation and how Evie's body moved naturally within the environment.For this piece I collaborated solely with Evie Hart, performer and choreographer.
